Hello family and friends!  We are having so much fun!  Our choir sang at Kingston First Baptist Church yesterday afternoon.  They were very excited to have us.  They were all kind and nice to us all.  We all had a blast singing for them!  Today we leave for Washington, D.C.  None of us can wait!  Its very exciting for us all.  We are so happy to be serving the Lord this trip and setting an example for him!

Hey family, friends and church community! How exciting is this trip gonna be?! I can’t WAIT to be in NYC and DC and Philadelphia, but our first day had its adventures as well. The weather was incredible – not too hot, not too cold, kind of windy, and sunny – as we travelled through Tennessee. Kingston First Baptist Church was so welcoming and warm, and we performed a program for their congregation – after eating poppyseed chicken (it reminded me of yours, Grandma!). Jake Edwards closed the evening with a short and sweet devotion on the bank of a beautiful lake. And the bus ride wasn’t too bad, either, if you wondered. Thanks for all your prayers at home, because without them this trip wouldn’t be anything. It’s so nice to know that we have a whole church community that backs what we’re doing on our mission trip. Today was exciting, but I can’t even begin to imagine what things the Lord has in store for our group tomorrow, and the next days to come!

Our first day on the mission trip was amazing, after riding up to the top of the arch and sightseeing we went to a homeless shelter to perform. Solos were very scary, but once you get up to the mic and look at the crowd you just sing praise to the one who loves you most. What’s more awsome than that! When we were done we handed out ice cold water on the streets. This was my favorite part, being able to communicate with the homless! I loved helping those people. It really touches my heart to see them smile or thank us for what we have done. I must say this first day on the trip is one I will remember!

I’ll never forget our first day in St. Louis.  I climbed up the arch and saw Busch stadium, the home of the St. Louis Cardinals.  After that we went and sang at a homless shelter.  That was a great experience.  I could tell all the adults and some kids at the shelter really enjoyed us coming.

The first day was awesome the arch is huge and it is even more fun to see things from inside it. I rode up there with Big John and let’s just say never doing that again. It was not cool. I thought it was going to break or something.

The first day was a memorable one, going up the Arch was just about the coolest thing yet. We also got to see the exhibits in the Arch’s museum. There was certainly a lot of history there. Looking from the top of the arch was as if you were in an airplane that was frozen in mid-air. Everything looked as if they were toys or little plastic cars. Out of all of the activities on the first day, seeing and riding in the arch were both the best memories.
